SMALL TOWN GEM

Pulled in with my youngster. Road weary and tired. Host is friendly and welcoming. Went to the room, the room is spotless and well furnished. The beds are amazing. Glad we found this place. Also a family owned place. As a former west river resident living in Minnesota. We found our new place to hang our hats for the night. You won’t be disappointed. The other reviews, all accurate! Place is spot on!

We found this little gem on our way back to Colorado from Pierre, we were so tired, the guy in the office was very friendly, told us where the room was and omg, the room had 2 huge beds that were very comfortable, nice huge bathroom with 2 sink areas, fridge, TV, nice toilet bathtub area. My husband and I had a peaceful night's rest. We are so happy to of found Grandpa Joe's and if we ever travel on I 90 in South Dakota again we will stop here. This morning we met the day shift lady and she was very sweet and a pleasure to speak with. Enjoy your stay at Grandpa Joe's. We did!

Grandpa Joe’s is one of those diamonds in the rough, we were super stoked to find this place. My 91 year old grandfather, uncle and I were traveling across the country, heading toward the Badlands of South Dakota and needed a place to spend the night. They are remodeling, but some rooms are finished and they are nice. Everything in the room was fantastic and the price was super reasonable! If you happen to be rolling down I-90 and need a spot in Kadoka, South Dakota, check this place out.

The bald guy at the desk is super friendly. We were driving from St Louis planning on staying in rapid city. But we were so tired that we started looking for a place. This is a hidden jewel with clean comfortable rooms that were very affordable. Next time through I will be stopping here again. Thanks!

Found grandpa Joe's place after looking for 2 hours at every town from Pierre. Price was good and the people were friendly. Rooms are being worked on but are clean and comfortable. Would recommend this place to anybody traveling in the area.
